5 charged after youth stabbed in Lunenburg County

RCMP have charged five people with attempted murder and weapons offences after a stabbing in Lunenburg County.

The incident happened in Wileville just before 9:30pm on January 12th.

Police say a vehicle approached a youth walking on Main Street. Four people got out and assaulted the youth with a knife.

The victim ran away and was treated for serious injuries.

Between January 12th and 17th, police arrested three 18-year-old adults and two youths at different locations. All five had first court appearances.

Officers also seized the vehicle at a Bridgewater home and executed a search warrant on it to locate and seize further evidence.

The investigation is ongoing.
