One dead, two injured after car crash in Lower Sackville

One woman is dead and two men are seriously injured after a crash in Lower Sackville.

The RCMP says a Mazda 3 went off the road and hit a power pole on Sackville Drive at about 9:35 a.m. yesterday.

The rear passenger of the car, a 50-year-old woman from Lake Echo, died at the scene.

The driver, a 53-year-old man from North Preston, and another passenger, a 56-year-old man from Dartmouth, both suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and police say the investigation continues.

Officers ask anyone who may have dash cam footage of the area between 9 and 9:30 a.m. to reach out at 902-490-5020.

Sackville Drive was closed for several hours but later reopened.
