Rain and freezing rain warnings in parts of N.S.

Slippery conditions and localized flooding could make for a nasty drive in some areas of Nova Scotia Tuesday.

Rainfall and freezing rain warnings are issued around the Maritimes including parts of this province.

Yarmouth, Digby, Annapolis, Kings, and Cumberland counties could get up to 45 mm of heavy rain until Tuesday evening.

Conditions at the Cobequid Pass could get dicey with rain expected to change to freezing rain and ice pellets over northern Nova Scotia Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education schools in Cumberland County and Tatamagouche are closed due to the forecast conditions. Offices and work sites remain open.
