Travellers can now clear customs faster at Halifax airport

You will be able to declare booze or souvenirs before landing at Halifax Stanfield.

An advance declaration feature has been launched within the ArriveCan app.

It will help speed up trips through customs for international flights.

The app allows you to declare items, plants or animals 72 hours in advance of arrival.

“Travellers can now spend less time at primary inspection kiosks (PIK) or eGates when they arrive at the airport, resulting in shorter wait times at the border,” – Canada Border Services Agency

It’s already available at airports in Toronto, Vancouver Winnipeg and Montreal.

The Canada Border Services Agency says they will be rolling out the feature in Edmonton, Calgary, Quebec City and Ottawa in the coming months.
