Poilievre visiting Nova Scotia Wednesday

Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre is back in Nova Scotia today.

He’s heading to Trenton, just north of New Glasgow, for a campaign rally.

The town is part of the Central Nova riding, which is held by the prominent Liberal MP Sean Fraser. He was the Minister of Immigration from October 2021 to July 2023, when he took over the housing portfolio. He held the position until he stepped down in December. Fraser said he wasn’t going to run again, but changed his plans once Justin Trudeau stepped down as leader of the Liberal Party and Mark Carney became Prime Minister.

Poilievre will visit the Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre later today. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
