Hockey action begins Friday in race for Memorial Cup

The Memorial Cup arrived in Rimouski last night, and action on the ice officially begins Friday night.

The Moncton Wildcats, Rimouski Oceanic, London Knights and Medicine Hat Tigers will battle it out for all the glory.

Each team represents either the QMJHL, OHL or WHL.

Game one goes Friday night at 8 o’clock (AT) with Rimouski and Medicine Hat.

The Wildcats play their first game against London on Saturday at 7 pm. (AT)

It’s the first time in 15 years that the Wildcats have been in contention for the Cup.
