Nova Scotia offers free and discounted admission to museums, art gallery

Starting Friday, you could get a free pass or a discounted one to some provincial tourist attractions.

The province is bringing the Canada Strong Pass to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and all 28 provincial museums

Children under 17 can visit for free, and young adults between 18 and 24 will get 50 per cent off admission.

The benefits apply to anyone from Canada or visiting the country. Simply show up from Friday until Sept. 2

The federal Canada Strong Pass offers the same discount to national museums and art galleries.

The federal pass also offers discounts for camping at national parks, but in the initial announcement, the feds did not mention whether select provincial parks would follow suit. The recent release from the Nova Scotia government confirms there will be no camping discounts at provincial parks.
