Man, 27, drowned in Halifax harbour Monday

Halifax police have found the body of a 27-year-old man in the Halifax harbour.

At about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, police got a call that a man had jumped into the water near the Salter Street area of the boardwalk, but he did not come back up, according to spokesperson for the Halifax Regional Police.

The RCMP dive team found the body four hours later.

Investigators say it is not a suspicious case. They believe he accidentally drowned.
