Water conservation orders in place across the province

The intense heat is lowering water reservoirs across the province.

Several conservation orders are in place for the Town of Stewiacke, and for anyone on the Margaretsville Water Utility in Annapolis County.

Residents are not allowed to use water for non-essential things like lawn watering, car washing and filling pools.

The Town of Stellarton is asking odd numbered addresses to use non-essential water on odd calendar days, and even numbered addresses can use it on even calendar. But both can only do that during certain times on their designated days. That’s from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight.

A voluntary order applies to customers of the Town of Antigonish water utility.
