Lockeport’s Seacaps playground project receives funding

A popular spot in Lockeport is getting provincial funding.

A $100,000 grant was announced for the Seacaps Playpark on Friday.

It will help move the re-development of the park into its next phase.

A local fundraising group has already raised $50,000 through community events, and the town has also put in $50,000.

They’re about $25,000 away from hitting their fundraising goal.

Mayor Derek Amalfa says it’s a community effort built with care and pride to provide a place of joy and connection.
