Dalhousie’s faculty and the university board will return to the bargaining table again Tuesday.
The university locked out members of the Dalhousie Faculty Association on Aug. 20, and the union went on strike two days later.
They are fighting to get better wages and working conditions, especially for Dal faculty on limited term appointments. They often work those temporary contracts for years before they get a permanent position, and they have to re-apply for the contract every year.
Most classes have been suspended since students returned to campus Sept. 2.
On Wednesday last week, conciliation officer Rick Rose asked both sides to return to the table on Monday, Sept. 8.
In a joint statement, both parties say they will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
