Seniors long-term care home opening 144 beds in Dartmouth

A new seniors home is opening with 144 beds in Dartmouth.

Opal Ridge Hall will welcome its first residents this week.

It is located on Opalridge Drive will be run by Shannex and follows their main street model.

The building is set up around a main street area, which has space for activities and socializing. The area connects nine different “neighbourhoods,” areas that include their own living and dining areas, as well as individual rooms for 16 residents.

The facility also has a suite for families and a hair salon.

Each location is named after a local landmark in Dartmouth.
