Man, 45, dead after truck crash in East Uniacke

A 45-year-old mane from Mount Uniacke is dead after single-truck crash in East Uniacke.

The RCMP says it happened on Monday at about 7:40 p.m. near Beamish Road.

When first responders got to the scene, they found a GMC Sierra truck had left the roadway and hit a power pole.

They pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Fire services, EHS, and RCMP attended the scene along with a collision reconstructionist.

The crash caused a brief power outage in the area and Nova Scotia Power had to help move the vehicle to get the lights back on.

The investigation continues with the help of the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Service.
