Man found after search on Lake Rossignol

A 62-year-old man was found at his cabin after a search and rescue operation on Lake Rossignol on Wednesday.

The call came in late last Tuesday night, according to Major Trevor Ackland with Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

The man has a cabin near Lake Rossignol in Queens County and typically checks in with his family, said Ackland.

The JRCC says this time, for whatever reason, he did not, and rescue teams were sent to look for him.

A cormorant helicopter, CH149, was on the scene this morning.

But they found the man safe in his cabin shortly before noon.
