Test of Alert Ready system on Wednesday

A reminder that alarms will ring out in Nova Scotia this afternoon.

It’s a test of the Alert Ready system.

Cell phones, TVs, radios and other wireless devices will sound an audible alarm at 1:55 pm on Wednesday.

The system is designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts.

They can be used in situations including police-related events, Amber Alerts, and weather emergencies.
