Between 25 and 40 mm of rain could fall in central and northern Nova Scotia causing reduced visibility at times.

The system will start late Friday afternoon and last until early Saturday morning.

The forecaster says to check for any ferry or flight delays and secure any outdoor decorations that could blow around.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.

Nova Scotia Power says they are getting their emergency operations ready to go for Friday at noon.
