BBB out with tips on ‘Data Privacy Week’

Protecting your data is key to avoid becoming a cyberattack victim.

It’s Data Privacy Week, and the Better Business Bureau in Atlantic Canada is offering tips to stay safe online.

They say you should always check your privacy settings, as each device, app or browser shares information differently.

Using two-factor authentication instead of just a username and password can also help, especially with banking, email and social media.

And to be careful what you share on social media, as posts last a long time.

More tips on how to be secure with your data can be found here.
