Emera Oval is Open for the Season

Get your skates ready, HRM says the Emera Oval has opened for the winter season!

The skating surface is the size of three NHL hockey rinks, with an accessible washroom, on-street accessible parking on Cogswell with wheelchair access to the ice.

There is also free equipment rentals with valid ID including skates and helmets which are mandatory for all those under 12.

This year there is no capacity restrictions with no need to reserve a spot in advance unless you will be part of a large group between 20-75, then the Oval requires a booking at least two weeks in advance.

This Thursday there is a skate with Santa from 4-6 with Holiday music and candy canes.
