17th person dies after Manitoba crash

The death toll from last month’s fatal collision in southwestern Manitoba has risen to 17.

RCMP said a 79-year-old woman died in the hospital from her injuries on Sunday.

The crash happened near Carberry, about 150 kilometres west of Winnipeg, on June 15.

Police said a minibus carrying seniors to a casino collided with a semi-truck.

Investigators have said the truck had the right of way at the time of the crash.

The victims were between the ages of 68 and 88, according to police.
