3 arrested after rash of vehicle thefts in Shelburne

Three people were arrested and one is on the loose after a number of incidents in Shelburne.

The first happened in Lower Ohio on Monday, as man and woman broke into a home.

The woman was safely arrested, they had copper wire in their vehicle, the man got away.

The next morning, the man believed to be involved in the break-in stole a truck at a gas station on Water Street.

It was located Wednesday as part of a dangerous driving investigation in Colchester County, and the man was arrested.

That same day, RCMP tried to stop two vehicles in Shelburne but they fled.

A woman suffered serious injuries after crashing into a utility pole a short distance away, while the driver of the other vehicle got away.

Police say their investigations continue.
