A local chef is getting a lot of attention as he undergoes a weight loss journey.
Derrick Bona, from Eastern Passage weighed about 600lbs, but after a fall on the road, had him unable to get back up, he decided it was time for a change.
As the pounds come off; he posts the progress on twitter.
This got international attention including a tweet from Arnold Schwarzenegger who said he’s ‘got this.’
Bona is now down 55lbs.
His ultimate goal is to be able to sit in a seat, not only at a Blue Jays game, feat also he wasn’t able to do before, but at his son’s high school graduation this year.
