Two charged following seizure of large quantity of drugs in Bridgewater

Two individuals have been charged following a drug seizure in Bridgewater on Wednesday night.

The Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Criminal Intelligence Services Nova Scotia, and Bridgewater Police Service executed a warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a location on North Street.

The search resulted in the arrest of a male and a female and the seizure of a large amount of cocaine, hydromorphine pills, cash, a prohibited weapon, and other drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking.

The male, identified as a 41-year-old resident of Bridgewater, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and hydromorphine, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breach of an undertaking. The female is facing the same charges and will appear in court in June.
