N.S. RCMP adds 11 experienced police officers

Eleven new police officers have joined Nova Scotia’s RCMP.

Assistant Commissioner Dennis Daley, Commanding Officer of the Nova Scotia RCMP swore in the nine of the new members during a ceremony on Friday, June 2. One other member was sworn in, in Alberta and another, in February.

Seven will be working in general duties in detachments across the province, while four will work in specialized positions.

“The newly hired officers bring with them a wealth of policing knowledge, skill and experience,” says Assistant Commissioner Daley. “Friday’s swearing-in ceremony represents the beginning of the next chapter of their policing careers. I am pleased to welcome them into their new roles, and into the Nova Scotia RCMP.”

Daley says he’s pleased to welcome them in their new roles.
