Three seriously injured after collision on Hwy 7

Three people have serious injuries after a collision in Salmon River Bridge near Musquodoboit Harbour.

Last night at around 7:30pm two vehicles, a Chevrolet Silverado and Hyundai Elantra, were travelling in opposite directions on Highway 7 when they collided.

The driver of the Elantra, a 24-year-old Porters Lake man, suffered life threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight. The passenger, a 24-year-old West Porters Lake woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

The driver and sole occupant of the Silverado, a 25-year-old Mushaboom man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

The highway was closed for several hours and crews continue to investigate.
