Shelburne County Exhibition returns after helping during wildfire

The Shelburne County Exhibition is underway.

It’s a return to normalcy after the exhibition grounds took in people and livestock during the wildfires.

President James Matthews says they opened to those that needed it for most of June.

“I think at one point we had 12 campers of families as well, they stayed until the evacuations were lifted,” said Matthews.

The street parade was held last night, there’s a small midway, horse and ox shows, and entertainment on the main stage.

An AC/DC tribute band is playing Saturday night, a portion of admission sales for that day will go to a local volunteer fire department.
