Events to mark National Acadian Day

Tuesday is National Acadian Day.

Premier Tim Houston will be in West Pubnico at 2 p.m. for a special event.

It will be held at the Village Historique Acadien.

He’ll be joined by Kenneth Deveau, the President of the Nova Scotia Acadian Federation, and Acadian Affairs and Francophonie Minister Colton LeBlanc.

There will also be several Tintamarre’s through the Municipality of Argyle at 5 p.m.

In Clare, a flag raising at 10 a.m at Universite Sainte-Anne, and Tintamarre’s from Salmon River and Saint Bernard at 6 p.m.

The regions are co-hosting the World Acadian Congress next year.
