Beach combers be careful!
Nova Scotia Parks says Portuguese man o’ war have been spotted on Atlantic coastal beaches, including Clam Harbour and Lawrencetown Beach.
Sightings are relatively common at this time of year.
Resembling a colourful plastic toy or packing material, these marine animals attract curiosity, but you should not touch them in the water or on the shore because they have a painful sting.
