Sidney Crosby in Halifax with Penguins for pre season matchup against Ottawa Senators

Excitement is in the air for hockey night in Nova Scotia!

Local sports legend Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Ottawa Senators in tonight’s pre season matchup at Scotiabank Centre.

The Penguin’s Ryan Graves and Senator’s Drake Batherson are also back in their home province.

There were line ups out the door at Cole Harbour place Saturday morning at 6am, as crowds waited to see the Stanley Cup champions practice on Crosby’s home turf.

The Cole Harbour native would go on to help the Penguins to win the Cup three times in 2009, 2016 and 2017.

Crosby last played here in a preseason game with PIttsburgh in 2006.

The puck drops tonight at 6pm.
