The suspect was found behind Greenwood St in the woods around 11:25am, also seriously injured and was taken to hospital with police escort.

The investigation has been turned over to the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit and is being assisted by the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office.

The suspect remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court November 1.
