There is a significant risk of a volcanic eruption in Iceland over the next few days.
According to the Weather Network, the Icelandic Meteorological Office says it could be on or just off the Reykjanes peninsula of Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik.
It comes after earthquakes and evidence of magma, spreading underground in recent weeks.
Nearly 4,000 people were evacuated over the weekend as authorities prepare.
One of Iceland’s best-known natural landmarks, the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, closed last Thursday.
Iceland is a volcanic hot spot located between the Eurasian and North American plates, among the largest on the planet.
