537 New Cases Of COVID-19, One Death In Nova Scotia Yesterday

One death and 537 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday for Nova Scotia.

A man in his 50s in the Northern Zone has died.

Premier Tim Houston sent his condolences to the man’s family and friends, saying he’s saddened to hear about the loss in what’s supposed to be a joyful time of year.

434 of the new cases were in Central Zone, 36 in the Eastern Zone, 44 in the Northern Zone and 23 in the Western Zone.

The province also reported an outbreak at Dartmouth General Hospital.

Fewer than five patients have tested positive, and increased safety measures have been put in place.

All patients and staff are being monitored closely.
