Woman airlifted to hospital after crash in valley

A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a single vehicle collision in Lake Paul.

Kings District RCMP say it was around 9:20am Thursday, when a Toyota Yaris was travelling north on Alysford Rd, when the roadway curved, and the vehicle ended up in a ditch.

The driver and only occupant, a 33-year-old Pleasantville woman was airlifted to hospital.

The roadway was closed for several hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
