No go for LFA 34 dumping day Thursday

Port Reps have held their 4th pre-season weather call to discuss the marine forecast and the start of commercial lobster fishing in LFA 34.

Dumping day is a no-go for Thursday from Shelburne County to Digby County.

The Coldwater Lobster Association says they voted 15-1 to delay it due to high winds and waves.

Officials will next discuss a possible Friday start on Thursday morning.

Dumping day usually happens on the last Monday in November.
