A Nova Scotia team has won the Canadian senior men’s curling championship in B.C.
Skip Paul Flemming and his teammates Peter Burgess, Martin Gavin and Kris Granchelli defeated Saskatchewan’s Bruce Korte 4-3 in the final on the weekend in Vernon.
This is only the second Canadian senior men’s title for a Nova Scotia team – the other was Alan O’Leary’s 2014 victory in Yellowknife.
Team Nova Scotia now advances to the world championships happening in Sweden in April.
Ontario’s Team Susan Froud won the Canadian senior women’s gold and will also compete in the world championships.
