Nova Scotians appointed to the Order of Canada

The Governor General has announced 78 new appointments to the Order of Canada, including three promotions.

Among the appointees are 5 from Nova Scotia, including Ronald Daniel Stewart of Halifax and Elder Albert D. Marshall of Cape Breton.

Stewart is promoted to Companion for his contributions to emergency medicine and leadership in the public health sector.

Marshal has been appointed as officer for his understanding of Etuaptmumk/Two-Eyed Seeing and dedication to promoting Mi’kmaq culture, language and environmental ethics.
