Buck’s Home Building Centre and Sobeys teamed up to provide a playhouse to Hebbville Academy.
Staff at Sobeys raised money to purchase materials and Buck’s donated the labour time to build the playhouse.
Owner of Buck’s Home Building Centre, Ryan Buck, says it should help kids stay active.
“It just gives them another outlet to play and gets them outside. People have commented that live in Hebbville, ‘I’ll take my kids up there to play now.’ ”
Buck adds it was an easy decision to help with the project.
“We had a common goal to do something good for the community and I think it’s great when companies can come together and support the community. That’s why we’re here; to give back to the community that gives back to you.”
The playhouse was delivered to the school on Tuesday.
