What’s the longest you’ve gone without power?
If you live closer to Halifax, it might have been Hurricane Juan. I know some people who went 12 days without power.
Thankfully for those of us some distance from the city the power outages were much shorter.
Even White Juan a few months later didn’t cause that long of an outage for me.
Dorian was a bad one for many people.
The most annoying outage for me was on a calm, snow free New Years Eve when the power went out for seven hours. I still haven’t forgiven NSP for that one.
But the longest power outage I’ve experienced was the super early Hurricane Arthur in July of 2014 – 6 days and one hour. We lost a freezer full of food and that cured us of keeping a stocked freezer forever.
