Commuters heading to Halifax are in for a big change.
Beginning sunrise Monday morning, drivers travelling from Highway 103 northbound on Highway 102 towards the airport will use the new off-ramp onto HWY 102.
According to a release from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, message boards, traffic control signs, cones and barriers will be in place to alert motorists of the change.
Commuters travelling routes other than from the east-bound 103 merging onto the north-bound 102 will not be affected.
The existing ramp is scheduled to be demolished in November, which will involve closing Highway 102 for a weekend.
The entire overpass project which T.I.R. anticipates will have a lifespan of 75 years , is scheduled to be complete by December.
