A two car collision sent a police officer to hospital Saturday night in Lunenburg County.
An RCMP officer was travelling on Northwest Rd. in Northwest shortly after midnight on their way to assist another RCMP member in a situation when their car collided with a vehicle on the road.
The other car had three people in it, none of which were injured.
The officer was transported to hospital for an assessment.
While no details of how the incident happened, the investigation is ongoing.
