A listener sent us an email with this dilemma:
Is there such a thing as being too professional? My husband and I both work for the same government department but at different locations. We have different positions but often go to the same meetings. When we’re in the same room he can get very awkward and pretends he doesn’t know me. I think this is him badly trying to maintain an air of professionalism but it doesn’t do him any favours. Recently after one meeting, when we were the last two to leave, I went to give him a peck on the cheek to say goodbye and he turned away.
Are there any manager manuals out there that let you navigate the minefield of what to do when spouses work together?
