Snow piling up as nor’easter will dump 15-25 cm

Another storm just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Environment Canada says the system will impact most of Nova Scotia and it will be windy, gusting between 60 and 80 km/h.

The snow began Tuesday afternoon and is moving east to hit Cape Breton overnight.

Environment Canada says the storm is tracking a little further south than previously thought, so snowfall totals are not supposed to be as high as earlier forecasts.

Closures & Cancellations

NSCC Metro Campuses (Ivany, Aviation, IT and Akerley) will close at 5:30 p.m. due to the bad weather.

NSCC Pictou will be closed on Wednesday

Mount Saint Vincent University suspending campus operations. A decision on classes for Wednesday will be made early in the morning.
