Shopping – Have A List AND Patience

Yesterday I braved the grocery store for the first large list since everything has been happening. I have to say it was… interesting?
I am usually the cart driver, attempting to drift around corners to keep our little guy giggling and entertained. My wife is the one that knows where things are and loads the cart according to her list. Well, that is not the case now and yesterday I entered, list in hand, all alone.
Best advice I can give you is always look down. There are arrows showing direction on the floor, there are spots marked showing the distance you need to stay back from others, it’s all on the floor.
And please Be Patient. There may be some husband there trying to figure out where something is. Like the guy that passed by looking even more lost than me as I turned down the baby isle, I smiled and he said he was lost searching for feminine hygiene products.
After circling the store about 6 times because of missed items always being on an isle going in the other direction, I finally made it to the check out and then outside.
All I can say is Thanks to the staff that are working hard and getting a lot of grief from frustrated shoppers along the way and I promise that next time I will be quicker and better, now that I have a better lay of the land.
AND to those of you that are still shopping as a family, STOP!!! Only one of you needs to be there!

Here are a few tips from the pros on making an effective shopping list.
