A new website aimed at giving post-secondary students better access to mental health support is now live.
The site, HealthyMindsNS, was launched by the province and provides access to multiple online mental health services free to students.
It was built to complement in-person counselling services offered on campuses, and each university and college across Nova Scotia can select the programs that work best for their school.
Labi Kousoulis, minister of labour and advanced education says Post-secondary students may be at particular risk of suffering from mental health issues due to the changes and pressures they often experience.
Currently, the site offers five online services open 24/7 – Kognito, TAO, 7 Cups, Crisis Text Line and Good 2 Talk.
Those interested can visit the site here.
