North American Indigenous Games held in N.S. up for awards

The 10th annual North American Indigenous Games is a finalist in two categories for the 2024 Prestige Awards.

Halifax hosted the games and more than 700 Indigenous nations last summer.

Sport Tourism Canada says this award program recognizes exceptional sport tourism initiatives, multisport games, and events plus the people and places behind them.

NAIG 2023 is a finalist for International Sport Event of the Year with a budget over $2,000,000 and Legacy of the Year.

The awards will be presented in Winnipeg on March 15th.
