Lots more rain and high winds for N.S. this week

Much of the province is in for another rainstorm, similar to the weekend’s wet and windy conditions.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for mainland Nova Scotia from Yarmouth to Antigonish counties.

Late Wednesday into Thursday, up to 60 mm of rainfall is expected for some parts.

South winds could gust 70 to 90 km/h – up to 100 km/h on exposed coastlines, creating a risk of localized flooding.

The forecaster also says temperatures are expected to quickly fall below the freezing mark Thursday evening.
