Barrington to host senior curling provincials

The Barrington Curling Club is getting ready to host a big tournament.

The men’s and women’s senior provincial championships are coming to the area next month.

Steve Stoddart with the club says there will be some big names taking part.

“We have three former men’s provincial champions, as well as reigning national champion Paul Flemming and his team. On the women’s side, Theresa Breen will be here. This is going to be high-quality curling,” said Stoddart.

The tournament will be held from March 13-17.

Stoddart says admission is free, but you’re welcome to leave a donation for the club.

He adds it’s an exciting time for curling in the province with Olympic trials coming to Halifax, Liverpool and Wolfville next year.
