Jacks hit the road as Junior B hockey playoffs continue

South Shore Lumberjacks fans have their fingers crossed for their home team in the Junior B Hockey League playoffs.

The Jacks are playing the East Hants Penguins as Round 1 of the Veterans Cup continues.

After falling to the Penguins Friday in Bridgewater, the Jacks hit the road for Game 2 of the series Sunday in Lantz.

The NSJHL website says the Jacks played before a great home crowd of 627 but had a dissappointing loss of 4-1 to the Penguins on opening night.

According to the recap, “The Lumberjacks did outshoot the Pens 10-9 in the third, their most shots in any period but were still outshot overall 32-21.”

Game 2 is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the East Hants Sportsplex.

Game 3 returns to Bridgewater Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Go, Jacks, go!
