A stop-work order has been lifted at the Donkin Coal Mine.
The province put the stoppage in place last July after a couple of roof falls.
A release from the Department of Labour says the company can now re-open for year-round operations after a review of an engineer’s report.
Morien Resources, who own a royalty share of the mine say more regulations are needed before operations can resume.
The company says they want to ensure long-term, stable production.
All 130 workers were laid off in November by owners Kameron Coal.
Morien says they’ll work to advocate for a potential return to production.
