GDP grows in January, aided by end of public sector strikes

Good news for Canada’s economy to start 2024.

Real gross domestic product grew 0.6 percent in January.

That’s why the sector was able to rebound from declines in November and December.

They say goods-producing industries were up 0.2 percent in January.

Overall 18 of 20 sectors increased during the first month of this year.
