The Town of Bridgewater is working on a new initiative aimed at bringing fun activities into the home this summer.
Recreation Coordinator Diana Johnson said their newest initiative, Games To Go, is an expansion of their existing equipment loan program, something not everyone knows about.
“This is a focused loan program that is COVID-19 related that will allow people who are spending more time at home to have activities they can enjoy as a family or individually,” she said.
Games To Go is a perfect way to stay active and entertained for those who feel more comfortable staying at home despite many restrictions being eased, she said.
“Everything we do is based around providing opportunities for healthy living and accessibility to equipment and programs we don’t have right now during these unusual times,” said Johnson.
There are many classic games to borrow, including some in giant form for backyard fun such as Yahtzee, Jenga and chess. The program allows for two games to be taken home at a time.
Protocols are in place to accommodate contact-less pick up to ensure the safety of staff and residents.
